Part / Full Time

Pima Dermatology, PC, has proudly served the Tucson, Arizona community for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time General Dermatologist, Board Certified or Board Eligible, to join our exceptional, growing practice. Our full-service, state-of-the art, 7,500 square foot facility provides Adult, Pediatric and Cosmetic Dermatology, Laser and Skin Surgery (including Mohs). We are an ambulatory-care certified facility accredited through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), making us the only full-service dermatology practice in Southern Arizona to earn this distinction.

We offer a warm, friendly and modern atmosphere, fully-equipped for comprehensive dermatological patient care. Our office features 18 on-site Laser modalities, a Mohs lab, narrow band UVB phototherapy, a private conference room, cosmetic sales area, and VISIA Complexion Analysis. All exam/procedure rooms have computers programmed with Canfield Mirror PhotoFile; an extensive photographic database for medical, surgical, and aesthetic procedure documentation. We also have a well-integrated electronic medical records system, NextGen Healthcare.

Our talented team includes three Board-Certified Dermatologists, two Physician Assistants, three Cosmetic Providers (all laser certified), and over 20 staff members.  We have a teaching affiliation with the University of Arizona College of Medicine and have been an integral part of resident and medical student teaching for more than two decades.

Part / Full Time                


We are currently seeking a customer service professional to fulfill front desk operations in a high volume/demanding medical practice. Must have ability to answer multi-line telephone system in a courteous/prompt manner, while operating front desk check-in and/or check-out operations. Strong emphasis in assisting patients with appointment scheduling, documentation and inquires. Ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to assist patients, providers and staff in all departments.

Job Description Includes:


  • Answer high number of inbound calls, answering questions and triaging in a timely manner.
  • Enter information from received calls into electronic database while maintaining accuracy without omitting any questions/ information needed.
  • Outbound phone calls to answer patient messages, referrals and/or appointment rescheduling. Documenting properly.
  • Schedule, Reschedule, & Cancel appointments in accordance with provider requests and guidelines.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, memorize high volumes of information, and follow customer service office scripting & protocols.


  • Greet patients in a polite, prompt, helpful manner.
  • Assist patients checking-in on the kiosk(s).
  • Update/verify patient information, obtaining necessary forms and signatures.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility. Explain insurance and financial policies.
  • Schedule follow up appointments and reminder calls.
  • Collect deposits, pre-pays, cosmetic fees, and no-show fees.
  • Sell products and prescriptions.  Verify prescriptions before selling & document in controlled substance log.
  • Open and/or close office according to established protocol-scheduled hours & position duties are always subject to change due to office needs.
  • Distribute correspondence and messages appropriately using electronic database.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  • Attend meetings as requested.

Experience: Two years of patient service experience in a health care organization. Dermatology and NextGen Practice Management System preferred.

Certificate/License: none

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

ALTERNATIVE TO MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   Additional appropriate education may be substituted for one year of patient service experience in a health care environment.
