Last year's 94.9 MIXfm Women’s Spa & Wellness Showcase took place on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at La Encantada. It was a fabulous day filled with sunshine, smiling faces, and lots of questions at our booth about skin care tips and recommendations! Health-goers attending the event indulged in fun product samples from participating local businesses and vendors, health and beauty consultations, and gathered a wealth of knowledge about the many wonderful health and well-being offerings available in our fine city!

The MELANOMA WALK 2011, supporting the Skin Cancer Institute, was on October 1, 2011 at the Arizona Cancer Center at UMC North. Pima Dermatology staff members participated alongside over 400 other registered participants. We journeyed on a pleasant 1.5 mile walk dedicated to raising awareness and to honor those affected by melanoma. The event raised a total of $35,850. Proceeds from the walk will support melanoma research, community outreach and education, and patient care in Arizona.
