Dr. Goldberg was a key speaker at a memorial tribute for Sandra “Sandy” Tountas, who passed away from Melanoma earlier this year. Her friends, known as the “Divot Divas,” organized a special luncheon held at La Paloma Country Club on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 to honor their dear friend and to focus on Melanoma awareness. Dr. Goldberg spoke to the group about the dangers of sun and skin, skin cancer, and the many options available for skin cancer prevention and skin rejuvenation. It was a very pleasant afternoon of caring, sharing, and raising skin cancer awareness among those gathered to honor Sandy.

Dr. Goldberg attended the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) Laser Aesthetics Course at the Beckman Laser Institute November 12 & 13, 2011. As a member of ASLMS, his lecture, “Fractional Ablative and Full Ablative Resurfacing," provided physicians inspiring information to further facilitate investigating use of lasers in their practices. He also presented a video demonstration with Dr. Victor Ross on Fractional, Ablative, Vascular, Tattoos, Pigmented Lesions, and Hair Removal.

The mission of ASLMS is to be the world's preeminent resource for biomedical laser and other related technologies, research, education, and clinical knowledge. For more information, please visit
