Botox® Cosmetic is quick and easy with minimal discomfort. A few tiny injections are made into the muscle group being treated. No anesthesia is required, though there is the option to numb the skin prior to injection.

Common side effects:
The most common side effects following the injection of Botox® Cosmetic is bruising. Rarely, a headache, flu-like symptoms, a temporary eyelid droop, or nausea may occur.

Recovery:
Results are expected to appear within days after your treatment, with continuing improvement at the injection site for about a week. Normal activity may be resumed immediately after the treatment. Using the muscles after the treatment will help Botox® work better. For example: frown, smile or raise your eyebrows often following treatment.
