Condition overview:
Brown birthmark may be associated with increased hair and can be small, palm sized or giant in extent. Present in 1% of newborns, very rarely are associated with irregular colors and borders which can be an indication of malignancy, these lesions need to be biopsied to rule out malignancy.
Symptoms:
Flat or elevated brown spots on the skin
Treatments:
Biopsy any suspicious areas to rule out malignancy
Surgical excision when necessary for medical/ cosmetic indications
